The Change makers project was born out of a need to break negative stereotyping of Logan city communities by the commercial media.
Stories of hope, pride, and inspiration from students of Woodridge State High School emerged as powerful statements against the superficial narratives exacerbated by mainstream media.
For over three years, a team from the University of Queensland collaborated with students of Woodridge State High School to tell these stories.
After publishing two award winning magazines, the Change makers documentary was the team's most ambitious project. It was launched to an overwhelming response from the community and even mentioned at the federal parliament.
